Mosaic Coffee Table
This upcycling project was about creating something beautiful out of an old coffee table that was almost going to hit the skip. I started with sanding the top and polishing the metallic bits. A touch of black paint followed and then the actual work started. This step took the maximum time. Cutting old CD and DVD pieces in mosaic shapes. I carefully stuck these pieces on using hot glue. For the piéce de résistance, I covered the now colourful table top with epoxy resin to give it a shiny brilliant look. Utmost care had to be taken to ensure no air bubbles get formed so had to sit with a blow torch for a couple of hours. No pain no gain you see Final look was mindblowing with an almost glass like shimmer. Mission accomplished!
